Self Esteem and Hair Loss
Hair loss, when it starts to occur, irrespective of what age you are, can be both distressing and embarrassing. As hair loss is generally associated with ageing, it can look and feel as though you are older than you really are. This can cause psychological distress, affecting both your confidence and self esteem.
The hair loss is generally fairly visible. When people see your thinning hair, they may pass premature judgement, and affect the way they look and feel about you. Even though there are a number of positive role models in society who are bald, many people suffering from baldness go to considerable lengths to conceal their hair loss prior to undertaking treatment.
